Bike Build (part3)

So the bike build is complete for the most part. I had a lot of fun picking out components and customizing the bike to my liking. I have definitely learned some things I didn't know at the beginning of this process. So overall the experience has been worth wild.

Here are the images of the final product. Let me know what you think, comment or something. Also click on the images, there is much more detail when you do.

The only things I see myself changing out in the future is the brakes to a black color, and possibly the seat for something more comfortable.

Also that lock is a beast! man that thing is heavy! I don't see this bike going anywhere while it is chained up.

Bike Build (part 2)

So I tore down my old bike today, Pulled all the parts i needed from it. Saddle, set post, cranks, chain ring, pedals, brake clamps, and stem. Took the frame back to the LBS to get the form sawed, cranks removed, and brake lines cut to fit. While I was there I purchased some bullhorn handle bars, brake leavers, and some new tires. I should be ready to ride tomorrow and have pictures of the completion.

Truck Wreck

Extent of the damage after the drunk driver barreled into my back wheel.

Bent rear axle assembly (replaced)
2 Bent controller arms, labels in yellow boxes (replaced)
Bent rear drive shaft (rebuilt)

Motorcycle Fun

Valentines day my 4runner got hit by a drunk driver. So I have been lucky enough to be using the motorcycle to get to work. I haven't posted picture of my motorcycle so I took the time to final take a couple. She goes back into hibernation tomorrow when I get my truck back, at least until its warmer out.

Anyways here is some pictures.

Bottom Bracket: Sugino 75 109mm Square Taper (NJS)

Head Set: Chris King Threaded/Threadless-Black
